Welcome to the SF Community School Library Web site! I hope you have fun here exploring and learning all about our library.
How the Web Site Works
This is the home page of the site. All the blue links to the left take you to other pages on this site. You can read book reviews written by students, check to see when the library is open, learn about the history of the library, see photos of the people who work and learn here, and much more!
All the orange links at the top of the page take you to other Web sites which might be important to you. These links open in a new window, so if you click on one and then want to get back here, do not use the "back" button. Instead, press the little "x" in the top right corner of the page to close the window.
Click on What's New to read about recent and upcoming library events in the new SFCS Library Blog!
Our Mission
The mission of the San Francisco Community School Library is to inspire and assist students to become lifelong learners by teaching them to:
- be information literate so they can find, evaluate, and use any kind of information to serve their needs now and throughout their lives;
- love reading (all kinds!) and pursue their own, independent interest in reading;
- recognize the importance of access to information, ethical behavior, and cooperative learning in a democratic society.
Have fun!
Tawnya Dudash, SFCS Librarian
