Coraline by Neil Gaiman
Reviewed by Giorgia. Coraline is about a young girl who discovers an alternate world in the apartment her family has just moved in to. There, she finds another mother and father. At first everything is better there: the food, the toys, everything. But the other parents want to make her their own, to change her and never let her go. Soon Coraline is in a game to save her life and the lives of the lost children behind the mirror.
Coraline was fascinating, a book I just couldn't put down. It was definitely creepy and people who get easily spooked shouldn't read it at night. It really teaches you a lesson about family. I liked it because it shows how close other worlds can be. It's kind of a twisted version of Alice in Wonderland. I would recommend it to kids who love fantasy and want something more on the dark side. It is also good for horror fans.

The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander
Reviewed by Benjamin. This book is actually an entire series contained in one volume. It is based on the Welsh story Mabinogion. It is about a boy, Taran, who is trying to defeat the Dark Lord Arawn. I like this book because it is an interesting fantasy. Each book in the series is a short but enjoyable read. I think that people who like The Lord of the Rings would enjoy this book.

The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales by John Scieszka and Lane Smith
Reviewed by Tina. I picked this book because there are different stories we all know like The Ugly Duckling but in a different version. Also there is a story called "The Stinky Cheese Man." It is about a stinky cheese man who takes on the character of the Gingerbread Man. Those are the reasons why I chose this book.

Junie B. tries to make Warren like her but Warren thinks that Junie B. is a "nutball." But when she makes some jokes, they become friends. This is a great book because all the jokes and all the little fights are funny and make the book good. I hope you think so too. I hope you read this book because I know you will like it.
